A Mind is a Terrible Place to Live

This shell is ferocious.
Some times it feels like the walls aren't just closing in,
but they also have guns drawn and blazing torches.
There is no up,
There is no down,
Left and right are interchangeable.
There is only here.
The floor becomes the wall,
The wall becomes the ceiling,
The ceiling becomes a pit of despair.
There is no hope in these dark days
